Mr. Adewumi David Adetunji started his career as a pioneering Teacher at the then newly established Lagos State Model College, Igbonla, Epe where he served meritoriously before his deployment to the Planning, Research and Statistics Department of the defunct Post Primary Teaching Service Commission Headquarters. He is also an Alumnus of University of Ife (Great Ife) where he obtained his First Degree. Equipped with an M.P.A. from the University of Lagos, he effected his transfer of Service to the Mainstream of the Civil Service as an Administrative Officer in Cabinet Office where he proved his mettle and imbibed the capacity to cover meetings of the State Executive Council (Exco). He has also worked in various Ministries, Departments and Agencies including the Ministry Of Finance, Ministry Of Works and Infrastructure, the Women Development Centre in Agege, Civil Service Commission, Auditor-General for Local Governments, Lands Bureau and the Lagos State Sports Commission.
While serving in these agencies, he displayed a remarkable ability to operate as an Establishment, Planning and Personnel Officer with related experience in Sports Management and Land Administration. He served as the Deputy Director/Head of Administration in the Land Use and Allocation Committee (LUAC) under Lands Bureau where thorny issues relating to petitions arising from land encroachment in various Government Schemes were resolved. He has also put in place the necessary measures to implement the newly introduced Administration and Human Resources specifications in the Ministries, Department, and Agencies where he had served in the last three years including LASTVEB. He brings his experience to bear in the quest to place Technical and Vocational Education in the front burner.
