DIRECTOR OF CURRICULUM AND EXAMINATIONS DEPARTMENT
Mr. Gbadamosi Isiaka Ademola is an experienced and seasoned Administrator. He pursued a Three (3) Year Course in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning at the Government Technical College, Osogbo between 1977 and 1980 after which he was awarded a Federal Craft Training Certificate. He also sat for the West African Examination Council (Technical) in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning on the Craft Level in 1979. He also obtained City and Guilds of London Institute Technician Certificate (Full Tech. Certificate Equivalent) in 1982.
He started his teaching Career/Profession from the Federal College of Education (Technical) Akoka where he was trained and later obtained his Nigeria Certificate in Education (Technical) in Mechanical Engineering Craft in 1986. He proceeded to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree (B.Sc.) in Industrial Technical Vocational Education in 1990.
He later proceeded to the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) for his Post-Graduate Studies after which he was awarded a Master of Education Degree (M.Ed.) in Educational Administration and Planning in 2010.
He joined the Lagos State Teaching Service on 20th October 1986 and taught at the St. Finbarr’s College, Akoka as a Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Teacher. He was also appointed as the College’s Admission/Examination Schedule Officer for the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).
He was transferred to Government Technical College, Lagos, Agidingbi, Ikeja as a Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Teacher in early 1993 and also rose to become the Head of Section and later Head of Department. He was also the College Examinations/Admission Officer from 1995 to 2011 when he was appointed as the Vice Principal (Administration) for Government Technical College, Ikorodu by the Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board.
He was The Chairman of the Technical Committee on Competency and Standards in the Pilot Courses of the five (5) State Government Technical Colleges which served as the solid foundation for the Board in 2010. He was also a member of the Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board Brochure Review Committee in 2010.
He was also appointed as an International Assessor/Internal Verifier Coordinator for the City and Guilds of London Institute Examinations in 2013.
He was adjudged as the Best Vice-Principal (Administration) for the Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board in Years 2012 and 2013 respectively and represented it at the State Education Merit Awards.
He was also deployed to Government Technical College, Ikotun by the Board as the Vice-Principal (Administration) in January 2015 and back to Government Technical College, Ikorodu as the Vice-Principal (Administration) in September 2015.
He was awarded the Most Outstanding Vice-Principal (Administration) by the Board in 2015.
He was also deployed to the Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education Board as the Director of Curriculum and Examinations Department in March 2017 by Mrs. Omolara Erogbogbo, the Executive Secretary of the Board.
He is saddled with the responsibilities of:
- Conducting Unified Terminal and External Examinations for the State Government Technical Colleges.
- Developing Unified Scheme of Work for General Education Subjects, Engineering Trades, Construction Trades, Miscellaneous Trades and Business Trades respectively.
- Monitoring of the Instructors in the State Government Technical Colleges to ensure that they comply or adhere with the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) Curriculum.
- Taking charge of the Curriculum activities in all the State Government Technical Colleges.
- Preparing Unified Examinations’ Time-Table for all the State Government Technical Colleges and other assignments assigned to him by the Board.
